Dr. Jian WANG was the chief technology officer of Alibaba Group, and is the founder of Alibaba Cloud, which is a major public cloud provider globally and ranks as first in Asia. He was also the chief architect of Apsara, the computing foundation of Alibaba Cloud, and took the lead in proposing the industrial model of using computing as a public service. In 2016, Dr. Wang pioneered and led the nonprofit City Brain initiative to develop a new digital infrastructure for sustainable “smart” cities as his personal effort and was the architect of Hangzhou City Brain. He founded the Yunqi Academy of Engineering, a private nonprofit research institute with a focus on scientific research for City Brain, and the Yunqi Science and Technology Innovation Foundation, a philanthropic private foundation that operates the 2050 museum which is open to public for free. The foundation envisions the future through technology innovation and organizes the 2050 event every year in April, promoting the vision of science and technology bringing people together. He is also a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and lives in Hangzhou, China.
Dr. Zhaopeng CHEN, Founder and CEO of Agile Robots SE, has established his company as one of the world’s fastest-growing robotics firms and Germany’s first robotics unicorn. Recognized for his outstanding achievements, Dr. Chen was named to Forbes’ “100 Most Outstanding Chinese Globally” list in 2022 and Fortune’s “40 Under 40” ranking in 2020. With over a decade of experience as Deputy Laboratory Director at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, German Aerospace Center (DLR), Dr. Chen spearheaded multiple groundbreaking robotics projects. An accomplished academic, Dr. Chen has published 40+ research papers and received two Best Paper Awards, cementing his reputation as a leader bridging cutting-edge research and industrial innovation.
Jingkang(JK) LIU, the founder of Insta360, has been recognized as one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” for his outstanding achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship. JK was fascinated by technology since a young age, which shaped his approach to building Insta360. Carl Pei is the co-founder and CEO of Nothing, a London-based consumer tech company on a mission to make tech fun again. Since then, he’s led the company to ship over 9 million devices and build a global community of more than 3 million people. His work has been recognized by Forbes’ “30 Under 30”, Fortune’s “40 Under 40”, and Marketing Week’s “Vision 100”.
