James KWAN

James Kwan is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor with a strong passion for technology, innovation, and education. James Kwan is the Executive Chairman at Jumpstart, an Innovation as a Service (IaaS) company that connects the innovation community globally. As the Managing Partner of Soapbox Capital Limited Partnership fund, James has made significant contributions to the investor community in Hong Kong. He served as program director for four accelerators and was a project partner for one. Additionally, James has been hired to do investor matching for several high-profile events, including Cyberport’s CVCF event, HKTDC startup zone, and InvestHK startmeupHK. Currently, James is a board member of the HK Proptech association, where he serves as the Investment Committee Chair. His expertise and reputation have earned him a place on the advisory pitch board for SXSW, one of the most prominent startup shows in the USA. In addition to his achievements, James was previously listed as the Executive Director of an IPO on the SGX, highlighting his success as a seasoned entrepreneur. He was also nominated as Mentor of the Year for Asia at Founder Institute, showcasing his commitment to fostering and supporting emerging talent in the startup ecosystem.
